The frescoes are part of a larger cycle that decorated the palace where the Dal Pero Counts lived. Grotesque frescoes executed in the eighteenth century in the neoclassical style, and which recall, as was fashionable at the time, the contemporary archaeological finds of Herculaneum and Pompeii. They therefore resume the ornamental motifs used in ancient Roman culture: figures of harpies and spirals, cameos and festoons in the spaces, and central rosettes. Splendid!
