Former guardhouse, probably a portion of a bigger medioeval structure, this house is set in an old hamlet at the foot of the Sibillini Mountains, and in more recent times it was owned by the family of the famous poet Giacomo Leopardi. The house has been restored retaining the original features and materials, such as the beautiful big stones of the external walls, the cornices, the porphyry architraves, the internal stone and wood structres, some frescoes on the first floor (the building was converted into a monastery in the 17th century). The house is set out on three levels of approx. 60 sq.m. each, there are no partition walls inside so it is possible to finish it according to the buyer’s taste/requirements. Thanks to its strategic position, dominating the valley and sheltered by the mountains, it enjoys a beautiful panoramic view.
